ATAWHAI is me.
Not just a brand, not just a business, but a reflection of who I am, how I think, and how I move through life.
My legal name is Atawhai.
Atawhai means to be kind and caring, and that is something I carry with me in everything I do. It is how I show up for people, how I build, and how I hold space for others.
I am Māori, of Tainui and Ngāpuhi descent.
My culture is not something separate from my work, it is part of me. It grounds me, it guides me, and it reminds me to move with intention, with respect, and with meaning.

My Story
I became a Mum at 14
Life didn’t slow down or wait for me to figure it out. I had to grow, quickly.
By 16, I found myself stepping into business and entrepreneurial spaces. Not because I had it all planned out, but because I needed to create something for myself and my family.
There was no perfect roadmap. No step by step guide.
It was real life. Messy, unpredictable, overwhelming at times, but also full of growth.
I have lived through a lot. Not just in business, but in life.
And through all of it, I kept showing up.
The way my mind works
I am self diagnosed ADHD
For a long time, I thought I was behind. Too messy. Too all over the place. Too much.
But the truth is, my brain just works differently.
I think in ideas, not straight lines. I feel things deeply. I move fast, then slow, then fast again. Some days feel chaotic, some days feel quiet, and some days everything just clicks.
Instead of fighting that, I learned to work with it.
That is where ATAWHAI really began.

Why This Exists
ATAWHAI was created from a place of wanting something I couldn't find.
Something that understood the chaos, but didn't try to remove it completely. Just gave it somewhere to go.
This is not about being perfect. It is about being real.
It is about creating space for people who:
- feel like their mind never switches off
- have ideas but don't always know where to start
- are building something while still figuring themselves out
- need structure, but in a way that actually works for them
ATAWHAI is about bringing calm to that chaos. In a way that still feels like you.
